Terms & conditions

In short

Pay 99p a week, cancel anytime, be respectful, do not post illegal content, and treat the map as a planning tool — you still check access and conditions yourself.

Membership and payment

Price: £0.99 per week via Stripe
Billing: weekly, auto-renews until you cancel
Access: Command Hub and the member dashboard need an active subscription

Failed payments

Stripe may retry if a payment fails
Access can be suspended until payment works again
No refund for a partial week if the subscription lapses

We may change the price with 30 days’ notice by email. Cancel before the change if you do not agree.

You keep access until the end of the week you have already paid
There is no long contract and no annual lock-in

Refunds

Because the weekly price is low, we do not refund unused days as a rule. We will refund duplicate charges, and we will look at genuine problems (including first-time signups within 7 days, and outages lasting more than 7 days).

Your content

Pins, photos and comments on Command Hub are public to members. You keep copyright. You give us a licence to show that content on ExplorerUK. We may remove posts that break these terms.

Do not post illegal content, trespass coordinates, porn, hate, spam, fake TRO warnings, or other people’s photos without permission.

We use AI (OpenAI) to help flag spam. A person reviews before we take action on flagged posts. Serious or repeated abuse can mean a permanent ban without refund.

Acceptable use

Respect other members and keep login details to yourself
Do not share your account, scrape the site, or try to break it
Do not mark private land as a public lane

Planning only — your risk

Green laning involves risk. ExplorerUK is a planning map. We do not guarantee that a route is legal, open, accurate or safe.

You are responsible for checking TROs, access, weather, your vehicle and the law. Stay on the legal line. Follow the Countryside Code.

To the fullest extent allowed by the law of England and Wales, ExplorerUK is not liable for injury, vehicle damage, fines, lost data, or other members’ posts. If we are liable, it is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Our content

The ExplorerUK site, design and code are protected. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Lane data is compiled from public sources and member notes.

Availability

We aim to keep the site up, but we cannot promise 100% uptime. We may add or remove features. If we ever shut the service down we will give at least 30 days’ notice where we can.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Email support@exploreruk.com first if something is wrong. If a court strikes out one clause, the rest still apply.

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version. The date at the top of this page will change when we do.
